I would like to connect with you and someone from the Google Glass team. Near Infrared Imaging, and the scientists at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, are introducing a vein illumination (VI) camera that is technically far superior to any other device on the market and is priced 70% to 80% less. We would like to work with Google to put this technology on Google Glasses, thereby creating a billion dollar business for Google, and bringing vein illumination to poor countries at an afrordable price. .

Vein illumination is important in
every needle insertion, but it is paramount when the patient is obese, very young, aged and/or has
dark or tinted skin.

The average
number of attempts to insert a needle in a vein of young children is
approximately three (3). This failure to stick a needle the first time causes
pain to the child, the child’s family and to the medical practitioner or

I always had that idea and was scared to admit it "Fake it till you make it" but once i gained the experience and was in the industry a lot more, i came to the realization that most of the people that were telling everyone else how much they knew and had made it were the ones truly faking it. hahaaha

Its always important to put your most confident foot forward, but always be honest with yourself. Then you will always be willing to observe and learn even if you are portraying the knowledge already.

Often times I take on a project or design brief and have no idea how to procede.. but I ALWAYS find that if I just start working that I not only find the answers I am looking for, I end up stumbling upon the questions I should've asked in the first place.

I really enjoyed reading your thoughts and the inner process you have gone through in your recent career journey. I think all interns or grad students thinking of going into start-ups should read your blog posts. They either will be inspired or scared, lol. I really think every person walking into a start-up as a less experience individual has the anxiety of wondering exactly how they fit. I always tell them to never put their personal worth to the company in any one particular facet, because things change and roles change daily.

I'm so proud of you for your courage to take the leap and go after your startup ambitions and own all the responsibility that you are, first of all :) I think fake it til you make it is the first step, but eventually you have to realize that you ARE that person who is capable of making those decisions and owning all these things and deserving this success. This is important stuff to discuss.

Thanks for your thought-provoking post.

www.gist.com tries to solve this problem by aggregating feeds from Facebook, Twitter, etc. for your contacts.

I keep Facebook for personal friends and turn to LinkedIn for work friends and associates. This seems to be the trend these days. Of course, I can check Twitter for friends who tweet.

I think the challenge is that any service that does more than aggregate public feeds and posted web pages crosses an uncomfortable privacy line.

Any service that requires the user to log in to it directly to manage her outbound thought-stream is too much trouble.

As a software developer, most of my industry friends post regularly, so I can keep in touch with them there. I keep my FB friend list small to minimize noise, though I see how once you've got a big list of friends, you'd hesitate to drop people. I think you can hide posts from noisy people on FB without un-friending them.

Please post again if you find new, innovative solutions to this problem.

Hi Victoria. nice to read your ideas, but I just believe that Facebook shares are over-valuated. The time will see it, or not, but one thing is also clear, the power that fb is adquiring through such a huge international data base. the big thing is monetization it.
